Abstract：To standardize the clinical diagnosis and treatment of ruptured esophageal and gastric varices bleeding in patients with liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension, the Department of Splenology and Portal Hypertension Surgery of the Chinese Society of Surgery has organized relevant experts to successively compile and release the 'Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Consensus on Ruptured Esophageal and Gastric Varices Bleeding in Patients with Liver Cirrhosis and Portal Hypertension' in 2015 and 2019 editions [1-2], providing a basic framework for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of this disease.
