Difficulties and countermeasures of nutritional therapy for radiation enteritis

Abstract：Nutritional therapy is a key component in the comprehensive treatment of radiation enteritis(RE)and runs through the whole course of radiation therapy and RE therapy.The clinical manifestations of RE are various,including metabolic problems such as malnutrition and electrolyte disorder,and surgical problems such as intestinal obstruction and even intestinal perforation.Difficulties of treatment lie in the assessment of nutritional status,the initiation timing of nutritional therapy,and the proper nutritional approach.Special attention should be paid to the indications of surgical intervention during treatment,to timely adjust the purpose and treatment method of nutritional therapy.
