Key issues and difficulties in management of female inguinal hernia

Abstract：Although the incidence of female inguinal hernia is lower than that of male,the treatment of female inguinal hernia has its own particularity because of the groin anatomy and physiological properties in women.Elective preperitoneal tension-free hernioplasty is the most common procedure performed for treatment of inguinal hernia in adult women.Laparoscopic inguinal herniorrhaphy (LIHR) is used by more and more surgeons because of its safe and effective postoperative recovery.Understanding and correct management of uterine round ligament,uterine round ligament cyst,pregnancy uterine round ligament varices (RLV) are very important to improve the effect and prevent the complication of female groin hernias.
