Complications of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy:prevention and management

Abstract：Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) has become the best therapy for morbid obesity,mainly due to its quick and lasting effects. Some potential complications do occur and are sometimes fatal if handled improperly. It is important for the continuous development of LSG that postoperative complications can be diagnosed and managed in time and effectively. The appropriate preparation before the operation,procedures in conformity with the LSG principle and careful follow-up are necessary to prevent and diagnose the LSG complications. The treatment should be based on individualized evaluation of complications after the LSG surgery.
