The current view of multi-disiplinary treatment of inflammatory bowel disease

Abstract：Although the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease theoratically belongs to internal medicine,it always involves the surgery and long term drug usage. Therefore,it highly recommend the importance of multi-disiplinary team, which includes experts in adult and pediatric gastroenterology,surgery,pathology,radiology,nutrition and other disciplines. Combined with the best assessment and preoperative treatment,MDT model can set plans to excute the strategies,including surgery and medication,by the right timing and methods.
