Treatment strategy for lower extremity artery in-stent restenosis

Abstract：Stenting of lower extremity artery occlusive diseases has become a mainstream means. Because of the characteristics of the arterial lesions and biological stress, restenosis after stenting is an unavoidable problem,which usually need twice or even multiple interventions . The current strategies for restenosis are drug therapy, balloon dilatation, volume reduction technology, re-stent placement and drug-coated equipment and so on. A majority of scholars believe that balloon dilatation, volume reduction techniques and re-stent placement have some limitations. However, drug-coated devices, as new endovascular treatment means, have brought new hope.
