Abstract:There is no doubt that patients with cirrhosis and symptomatic gallstones should accept the treatment of cholecystectomy. With poor liver reserve function, portal hypertension as well as poor clotting function, the patients with cirrhosis will encounter considerably high risks during cholecystectomy. Surgeons should pay more attention to assessing the liver function completely and accurately, performing comprehensive imaging examinations and standard liver protecting treatment before operation. It is also important to communicate with the patients and their relatives effectively and choose the most reasonable surgical procedure. Above all, trying to avoid injuring liver and shorten the operation time as much as possible, following the principle of"would rather damage the gallbladder,do not injure the liver". What's more,high-quality postoperative nursing contributes to better prognosis. Only when the key points above have been noted, cirrhosis patients performed cholecystectomy will obtain the maximum benefit with minimum risk.
