Indications and surgical techniques of laparoscopic appendectomy for acute appendicitis

Abstract：Acute appendicitis is the most common surgical acute abdomen. Currently,laparoscopic appendectomy has become the preferred surgical appendectomy. Mesoappendix treatment and stump closure are key points in laparoscopic appendectomy. For perforated appendicitis,irrigation and drainage issues still are in dispute. With the improvement of the minimally invasive concept and surgical instruments, single-incision laparoscopic appendectomy will be more extensive in clinical application.
