Abstract:Laparoscopy has become the main treatment method for acute cholecystitis. In order to improve the quality of life of patients, reduce medical costs and prevent complications during non-operative period, regardless of the duration of disease, once the diagnosis of acute cholecystitis, laparoscopic cholecystectomy after the appropriate preoperative preparation should be performed as soon as possible. Complex and severe acute cholecystitis should consider more simple, more safe and effective laparoscopic partial cholecystectomy and (or) cholecystostomy. Laparoscopic treatment strategies should be rational for performer level, equipment and disease condition. It should avoid pursuing the success rate of laparoscopic treatment of acute cholecystitis blindly, and should convert to laparotomy in time before serious complications occurred according to the condition changes to get the best short and long term effects.
