Key points for diagnosis and treatment of popliteal artery injury

Abstract：Popliteal artery injury is common in the lower extremity trauma. For the features of sudden and occultness, the diagnosis and treatment of popliteal artery injury are sometimes difficult. A disaster would befall as an unreasonable management was decided. The surgeon should rebuild limb blood supply on the premise of maintaining stable vital signs. Six hours after trauma are the prime time to rebuild the blood supply. Surgeon should pay attention to the prevention and treatment of systemic and local complications after revascularization.
