Abstract:Despite of many advances in the quality and availability of less invasive arterial imaging modalities, invasive arteriography remains a robust technique for diagnosing peripheral arterial diseases (PAD). The advantage of catheter angiography is owing to its selective catheter, real time diagnosis and delay imaging for enhancement of target vasculature. Furthermore, with the increasing of using smaller diameter sheaths, catheters and less toxic contrast agents, the risks to the patient for adverse effects will be lowered.
