Marked improvement and significance of change of management idea for hepatocellular carcinoma

Abstract：Management of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) includes many departments such as surgery, internal medicine, intervention, radiation and so on. Multidisciplinary treatment for HCC has brought about a significant improvement of the survival rate. It consists of a combination of hepatectomy,liver transplantation,transcatheter arterial chemoembolization and systemic treatment. Liver resection and transplantation are potentially curative method,and long-term survival has been prolonged due to small liver cancer resection and surgical technical improvements. Molecular target therapy is great breakthrough in HCC treatment,but blockage of multi-target and pathways may be more effective in target therapy. The prognosis of HCC is generally related to tumor stage at presentation. HCC staging is the basement of standardized treatment and also guides treatment decisions.
