Standardized implementation and evaluation of conventional open radical resection for distal gastric cancer

Abstract:The incidence of gastric cancer in China is high and most patients are diagnosed at advanced stage. Surgery is one of the key therapies for patients with advanced gastric cancer. Gastrectomy with D2 lymphadenectomy is the standard operation for advanced gastric cancer. However, there are still many problems in the process of standardized implementation. Surgeon should master the standardized implementation, significance of preoperative staging, preoperative and particularly intraoperative management of surgical indications, standardized sequence of operation, method of lymph node dissection, determination of gastrectomy, operation of tumor-free technique, treatment and prevention for intraoperative damage or postoperatively serious complications.
