Attach importance to the standard treatment of abdominal wall hernia

Abstract：Hernia and abdominal wall surgery diseases are being paid more and more attention to. In 2013,cases of adult hernia repair was estimated no fewer than 500 000. Treatment of the diseases is becoming standardized. With the improvement of operation technique,development of materials, accumulation of clinical experiences, and progress of evidence-based medicine. China Guide Line of Ventral Hernia ’s Diagnosis and Treatment (2012 Version) was published in June 2012,which was separated to two parts,Guide Line of Adult Inguinal Hernia’s Diagnosis and Treatment and Guide Line of Adult Ventral Incisional Hernia’s Diagnosis and Treatment. In 2012,National Health and Family Planning Commission decided to publish disease Quality Control Standard,according to the concrete situation of China. The standard passed final approval in December 2013,and it ended up as Quality Control Standard of Adult Inguinal, Femoral,and Ventral Incisional Hernia’s Diagnosis and Treatment. Publication of the documents is mainly to give surgeons standardized and valid items for their reference. The purpose is to help surgeon to minimize problems of diagnosis and treatment,so it is highly meaningful for clinical work.
