Evaluation on the application of laparoscopic surgery for colonectal cancer

Abstract：Laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer has been increasingly popularized recently.The results of surgical technique,feasibility,safty,long-term outcome and impact on quality of life of laparoscopic procedures for colorectal cancer were assessed by means of evidence based surgery.In conclusion,the data from the recent trials have shown promising clinical benefits of short-term advantages as well as long-term oncologic equivalence for laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer.However,adequately powered,multiple center trials are still necessary to find the evidence based place in daily practice of laparoscopic colorectal surgery.
