Abstract：The development of sleep medicine relies on the support of skilled professionals in sleep medicine.Currently,the demand for sleep technicians in China surpasses the available supply.As a reserve talent pool for sleep technicians,respiratory therapists have special advantages in professional skills,educational costs and career development pathways,especially in the monitoring,diagnosis,assessment,treatnent,and rehabilitation of sleep-disordered breathing,which promotes the standardization of disease management.
