Abstract:Out-of-office blood pressure monitoring, including home blood pressure monitoring(HBPM)and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(ABPM),has become the most important method for blood pressure management.ABPM and HBPM have their own advantages and disadvantages in blood pressure monitoring. For long-term blood pressure management,HBPM may have more advantages such as improving patient treatment compliance and increasing blood pressure control rates, but their clinical application still requires more clinical evidence to support.Guidelines both at home and abroad recommend a combination of the two for blood pressure management, which may be an important means to improve blood pressure control rates in Chinese population.
