Abstract:Hypercalcemia is one of the common endocrine metabolic disorders in clinical work, which refers to an abnormal increase in serum calcium concentration.Hypercalcemia is a main type of heterogeneous disease with various causes. The most common reasons are primary hyperparathyroidism(PHPT)or malignant tumors, while other rare causes are also difficulties in clinical diagnosis and treatment.According to total calcium levels,it is classified as mild, moderate,or severe hypercalcemia.Mild hypercalcemia usually does not have typical symptoms, while severe hypercalcemia is characterized by dehydration signs. The treatment for hypercalcemia includes the management of hypercalcemic crisis,as well as the evaluation and etiological treatment of hypercalcemia.
