Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical significance andprognostic value of serum tumor markers in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Methods SLE patients who were admitted to the Drum Tower Hospital from January 2016 to December 2018 were included. All patients were followed-up on February 2023,and were divided into two groups according to whether tumor markers were elevated or not.The difference in clinical manifestations and lab test results was compared between the groups. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to analyze the survival status in different groups. Results Among all the SLE patients included, the percentages of increased serum CYFRA21-1,CA125,CA19-9,CA15-3,CA72-4 and CA50 were 37.7%,33.2%,16.0%,12.9%,8.3%and 6.8%.Serositis was the independent predictor for elevation of serum CA125(OR 8.61,P<0.001)and CA19-9(OR 2.56,P=0.034)in SLE.Age was the independent predictor for elevation of serum CYFRA21-1(OR 1.06,P=0.002).Diabetes was the independent predictor for elevation of serumCA15-3(OR 5.75,P=0.024)and CA50(OR 6.00,P=0.023).The oral or nasal ulcerations was the independent predictor for elevation of serum CA72-4(OR 5.34,P=0.032).After(5.17±1.96)years,32 cases were lost to follow-up.Among the visiting cases, there were 34 cases died. The SLE patients with increased levels of CA1 25,CA19-9,CA72-4 and CA50 had an increased mortality rate(P<0.05).Conclusion Increased tumor markers were frequently found in SLE patients, which may reflect the poor prognosis of the patient and is worthy of attention.
