Abstract：Innovations in science and technology have greatly boostered medical developmentand changed the modality of diagnosis and treatment. Since the capsule endoscopy for gastrointestinal imaging was created, more and more various functional capsule endoscopy have been continuously developed. Capsule changed from passive observation to active manipulation, from single diagnosis to multi-parameter detection, like temperature and pH monitoring.Some capsulealso couldplay a role in drug delivery and surgical operations. However, most of them are still at experimental stage and not widely used by clinicians.
