Abstract:Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a type of intestinal inflammatory disease more commonly seen in Western patients. In recent years, the research on the relationship between diet, nutrition and IBD has been gradually deepened, and more and more attention has been paid to the nutrition treatment for IBD. At the end of 2016, the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) published the latest nutritional guideline specifically for IBD. Compared with the previous guidelines, it covers not only enteral and parenteral nutrition but also IBD nutrition-related etiology, diet, micronutrients, probiotic treatment, and many other aspects. It integrated the other guidelines and provide more valuable nutritional plans.
