Consensus on the management of hepatitis B virus infection in women of childbearing age.
Chinese Society of Hepatology
Abstract:Hepatitis B virus (HBV) mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) is the main cause of chronic infection of HBV. In order to achieve the HBV "zero" MTCT during pregnancy, standardized management for hepatitis HBV infection in women of childbearing age should be regulated. This consensus includes: the screening and treatment of HBV infection in all women of childbearing age and pregnancy; the immunization of hepatitis B vaccine with hepatitis B immunoglobulin for all newborns and its evaluation; antiviral therapy for all pregnant women of HBV infection with a high HBV DNA level; the management of pregnant women after delivery. Finally 16 recommendations were formed.
