Abstract:Objective Tbis study combined UACR with eGFR to investigate the risk for kidney disease progression in hospitalized patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus based on the KDIGO's recommendation,in order to provid reference for the management of DKD patients. Methods A total of 1254 T2DM patients were recruited and divided into four groups including low-risk group, moderate risk group,high-risk group and very-high-risk group. The ratio of each group was calculated and their clinical characteristics and biochemical parameters were compared. Results 1he ratio of low-risk group, moderate risk group,high-risk group and very-highrisk group for kidney disease progression was respectively 61.3%,24.5%,7.5% and 6.8%.With the increase of age, duration and systolic blood pressure, there was an increased risk for kidney disease progression in hospitalized patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(P<0.05).Conclution The ratio of risk for kidney disease progressing to moderate risk or above in hospitalized cases with type 2 diabetes mellitus was 38.7%,and the risk for progression is associated with age, duration and systolic blood pressure.
