Abstract:Exercise is the core component of cardiac rehabilitation. When designing patient-specific exercise strategy,it is recommended to combine primary guiding principles with the patient's condition. We suggest exercise during the whole procedure of cardiac rehabilitation. In phase Ⅰ,exercise is supposed to be completed in form of passive limb movement and sitting on the edge of bed with lower extremities hanging down, and may be more intensive when needed.Typical procedures in phase Ⅱ consist of the preparation, training and relaxation.Strategy in each procedure incorporates the specific type, intensity, frequency and notes of exercise. As for the elderly and female, strategies may be mildly adjusted. The main purpose in Phase Ⅲ is to maintain the previously developed habit of exercise.
