Abstract:Objective By testing serum levels of C-C motif chemokine 19 (CCL19) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA),the study investigates the role and clinical significance of serum levels of CCL19 in the pathogenesis of RA.Methods 40 patients with RA were enrolled in the department of rheumatology and immunology,Shengjing Hospital,China Medical University from March to October in 2014,and a total of 18 patients with osteoarthritis (OA) and 18 healthy controls were enrolled. The serum levels of CCL19 in patients with RA and patients with osteoarthritis (OA) and healthy controls were determined by enzyme-Linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Results CCL19 levels had statistical differences(P<0.01) among patients in control group,OA and RA.The levels of CCL19 in RA patients were positively related to disease activity score (DAS28),C-reactive protein (CRP),erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR),rheunatoid factor (RF),platelet (PLT) and immunoglobulin IgM (P <0.05),but negatively correlated with hemoglobin (Hb)(P<0.05).Conclusion CCL19 is involved in the pathogenesis of RA,which helps to make differential diagnosis of RA.
