Confocal laser endomicroscopy for the diagnosis of early gastrointestinal tumors

Abstract：Confocal laser endomicroscopy (CLE) is a new endoscopic technology that has been applied into clinical practice during recent years.It can provide real-time microscopic view of the gastrointestinal mucosa with ×1000 magnification,and significantly improve the diagnostic accuracy with decreased biopsy numbers.From a practical viewpoint,we will introduce the application of CLE in the diagnosis of early GI tumors along with the most recent development in this field.
