Abstract：Objective To assess the current epidemic characteristics of hypertension control in rural women of Liaoning province,and to provide scientific basis for preventing related cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in rural areas.Methods 3992 women aged 35 years or more in Fuxin county of Liaoning province were selected with cluster stratified random sampling method.The blood pressure measurements and correlative factors were investigated by trained doctors.Results The rate of uncontrolled hypertension was 95.5% (uncontrolled systolic hypertension 19.9%,uncontrolled diastolic hypertension 75.6%).People with uncontrolled systolic hypertension were older(59.99±11.14) years than those with controlled hypertension(54.16±12.03) years.Abnormal fasting glucose level,high triglycerides and obesity were obviously associated with uncontrolled diastolic hypertension.Conclusion The control rate of hypertension is low in rural women of Liaoning Province.We should take measures to control hypertension and prevent related cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
