Abstract：Professor Weng Xin-zhi is a member of Chinese Academy of Engineering.As a professor of Chaoyang Hospital,Capital University of Medical Sciences,Prof.Weng enjoys a high reputation for his accomplishments in internal medicine.He has made innovative contributions to the fields of general medicine,parasitology,cardiovascular disease,and respiratory disease.In the late 1970's,Prof.Weng became the earliest one to advocate smoking control in China.He worked together with WHO and international non-government organization and dedicated himself to international smoking control,and he was thus given the tide of "father of smoking control in China".We are very honored to have a chance to interview Prof.Weng on his academic career,education of doctors and medical ethics.
