Constipation

Abstract：Constipation is a common symptom caused by many reasons,most of which are functional disorders as of the colon,rectum and anus. Patient usually has the symptom of dry stool, dyschezia or the feelings of defecation endless and de-creased frequency of defecation without taking the laxative drug. Chronic constipation can be divided into STC.OOC and MIX by dysmotility. Constipation mostly can be diagnosed bythe diagnosis standard of Roman Ⅲ, the gastrointestinal transit test,colon pressure test,pneumatocyst discharge test,defecation radiography and pelvic floor muscle electrocardiogram can be used if necessary. Treatment of constipation includes living style change,psychological state adjustment,and the use of laxative contrapuntally. To the outlet obstruction type of constipation, the biofeedback therapy can be tried. Surgical operation can be considered for those patients whose constipation do not relieve after restrict non-operational treatment and special ex-aminations clearly showed the dysfunctional part and its ana-tomical structure.
