Abstract:Guided bone regeneration is the main management method for alveolar bone defects in implant repair, and polylactic acid material is one of the important materials that can be used for guide bone regeneration.Polylactic acid,as a synthetic polymer biodegradable material, can be processed into a suitable structure, and its mechanical properties,de-gradability,biomineralization ability, osteogenic properties and antibacterial properties can provide support for guiding bone regeneration. At present, the principle of guided bone regeneration by polylactic acid material has been studied in detail, which proves that it has the potential of clinical application.Polylactic acid material is used widely, including polylactic acid film, polylactic acid nails, polylactic acid composite bone scaffolds, and polylactic acid microspheres. In this paper, the research progress in polylactic acid material for guided bone regeneration is reviewed,in order to provide references for systematic understanding, research and selection of this material, and prospects for its application and de-velopment are put forward.
