Abstract:Dentin matrix(DM)is a new type of bone graft material with similar chemical composition and physical struc-ture to alveolar bone, which has good osteoinductivity, osteoconductivity, biocompatibility and resorbability and has a wide range of application prospects.DM can be divided into mineralized dentin matrix(MDM)and demineralized dentin matrix(DDM),depending on whether it has been demineralized or not.In recent years,a large number of animal experi-ments and clinical studies have confirmed its good osteogenic ability and satisfactory clinical efficacy. In this paper,we review the basis of application, biological characteristics and clinical applications of DDM.
