Research progress in the role of deep learning based on intraoral digital photographs in the diagnosis of oral diseases

Abstract：Deep learning is a feature learning method based on neural network,which has significant advantages in im-age classification,segmentation,positioning and multi-object detection.Deep learning based on medical image can help clinicians diagnose oral diseases,reduce their workload and improve their diagnostic efficiency.Because of the character-istics of convenient access,low cost and no radiation damage,intraoral digital photos can be used as an important tool for the diagnosis of oral diseases.This paper reviews the research progress of deep learning based on intraoral digital photos in the diagnosis of oral diseases such as dental diseases,periodontal diseases,oral mucosa diseases and oral cancer,so as to provide a basis for its further clinical application.
