Advances in studies on maxillary incisor intrusion with mini implant anchorage

Abstract：Gummy smile and deep overbite of anterior teeth are often one of the main reasons for patients with uncoordi-nated vertical relationship between upper and lower dental arches.For patients with severe vertical maxillary excess,or-thodontists often improve their profile with orthognathic surgery.However,for patients with mild deep overbite,orthodon-tists usually achieve treatment objective using maxillary incisor intrusion with temporary anchorage devices(TAD).The present article reviewed the advances in the use of TAD in maxillary incisor intrusion,including therapeutic effect,influ-encing factors and dynamic analysis.
