Abstract:Peri-implant tissue repair is an important factor that affects the success rate of the implant. At present,osteo-immunomodulation mediated by macrophages is one of the research hotspots of implantation, which focuses on promoting angiogenesis and accelerating bone remodeling.Implant surface treatment affects the polarization phenotype of macro-phages both adhering on the surface of the implant and in the peri-implant inflammatory microenvironment, thereby af-fecting early soft tissue healing and late osteogenesis after implant surgery. This article reviews the effects of different im-plant surface treatments on the polarization of macrophages and tissue repair mediated by them, aiming at finding the best opportunity and strategy for osteoimmunomodulation.
