Application of cone beam computed tomography in implant visualization

Abstract：The development of oral implantology has made the dental implant be a primary choice of partially or completely edentulous people.Accurate implanting has been the chief goal of clinicians with increasingly mature implant technology nowadays.Cone beam computed tomography plays a key role in preoperative planning and assessing accurate implanting,which promotes the rapid progress of implant visualization.Its three-dimensional imaging characteristic allows the clinicians to recognize the condition of proposed operation area,which increases the implant success rate and accuracy.This article will elucidate the application of cone beam computed tomography in conventional implantation and implantation assisted by surgical template from the perspective of visualization.
