Abstract:Regenerative endodontic treatment for immature permanent teeth with infected and necrotic pulps could not only make the apex closed but also allow the root lengthening and the root canal wall thickening, which would reduce the risk of root fracture. Animal experiments and clinical case reports have demonstrated that new tissues form after regenera-tive endodontic treatment. In this review,we outline recent research advances on new tissues formed after regenerative endodontic treatment.
