Abstract:Myofascial pelvic pain syndrome is a major cause of chronic pelvic pain, often accompanied by lower urinary tract and bowel symptoms and sexual disorders, with a complex and highly heterogeneous pathophysiology, which makes diagnosis challenging and necessitates multidimensional assessment.Physical therapy is the first-line treatment, while multidisciplinary comprehensive intervention is recommended in complex cases.Establishing standardized diagnosis and treatment pathways, integrated with intelligent monitoring technologies, can optimize the entire cycle of patient management, which contributes to pelvic floor functional rehabilitation, and improves quality of life.
