Abstract:Objective To preliminarily investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of allylestrenol in the treatment of peri-menopausal abnormal uterine bleeding with ovulatory dysfunction. Methods The clinical data of 147 patients with peri-menopausal abnormal uterine bleeding with ovulatory dysfunction who attended Changzhou Second People's Hospital af-filiated to Nanjing Medical University from September 2022 to December 2023 were retrospectively analysed, and the pa-tients were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the treatment modality. The patients in the observation group received allylestradiol 5 mg BID from the 15th to the 28th day of menstruation, and the patients in the control group received dydrogesterone 10 mg BID from the 15th to the 28th day of menstruation. The two groups were compared in terms of the time of symptom relief and disappearance, changes in endometrial thickness, menstrual flow and haemoglobin before and after drug use,and adverse reactions after drug use. Results The effect of allylestradiol in the treatment of perimenopausal abnormal uterine bleeding with ovulatory dysfunction was similar to that of dydrogester-one,and the effective rate in both groups was greater than 90%,with no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05);the PBAC score in menstrual flow of patients decreased significantly in both groups after treatment compared with that before treatment, and the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05);the endometrial thickness of the observation group and control group showed a significant decreasing trend compared with that before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P>0.05);the haemoglobin of the patients in the two groups increased after treatment, and the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05);the symptoms of the observation group were relieved and disappeared in a shorter period of time than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the incidence of side effects of the drug treatment was low in both groups, and there was no statistical difference in the incidence rate of side effects be-tween the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Allylestrenol and dydrogesterone have similar efficacy in the treatment of perimenopausal abnormal uterine bleeding with ovulatory disorders, and both drugs have relatively high safety.
