Abstract:The main objective of antepartum fetal monitoring and assessment is to reduce stillbirth rates and intervene promptly with high-risk fetuses to minimize adverse obstetric outcomes.Current methods include fetal movement counts, electronic fetal heart monitoring, and ultrasound examinations.Despite their widespread application, there is a lack of evidence regarding their effectiveness in improving outcomes. Therefore, there is a need to reassess the clinical sig-nificance and effectiveness of these monitoring methods to guide their appropriate use. This article provides an overview of various methods and their evidence of ef-fectiveness,aiming to provide evidence for clinical practice.
