Abstract:Objective To explore the application of surrounded suture and traditional suture in cesarean myoectomy. Methods Sixty cases of caesarean myomectomy from Jan. 2014 to Jan. 2016 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University were analyzed, 30 cases of surrounded suture as study group and 30 cases of traditional suture as control group. We compared bleeding volume, operation time, pre-and post-operative hemoglobin drop, duration of lochia and postpartum uterine size in two groups. Results In study group, myomectomy hemorrhage volume was less than control group[ (7.60±2.60) m L vs. (16.42±5.73) m L], operation time was shorter than control group[ (6.99±1.63) min vs. (12.55±3.48) min]and pre-and post-operative hemoglobin drop was lower than control group[ (16.53±3.21) g/L vs. (18.70±4.31) g/L].All of the differences above were statistically significant (P<0.01).In study group, lochia duration (29.53 ± 5.57) d and postpartum uterine size (14.49 ± 1.27) cm had no significant difference (P>0.05) from control group[ (27.67±1.03) d, (15.12±1.33) cm].Conclusion The use of surrounded suture in cesarean myomectomy is safe and effective. It can benefit the patients more.
