Complete hydatidiform mole and coexisting fetus :report of four cases and review of literatures

Abstract：Objective To discuss the clinical features,diagnostic methods,gestational outcome and prognosis of complete hydatidiform mole and coexisting fetus(CHMCF).Methods Collect and analyze four CHMCF cases confirmed by clinic and pathology in our hospital from Jan.lst,2013 up to now,and review relevant literatures of CHMCF documents.Results One case got pregnancy after IVF-ET.Three cases visited hospital for vaginal bleeding,and termination of pregnancy was performed in 2 cases;hyperthyroidism happened in two cases;gestational hypertension and intrauterine fetal death respectively occurred in one case.The hCG lever of four cases were all more than 100 kU/L before evacuation of uterus.Diagnosis was suspected on ultrasound scan before delivery in three cases.Three cases developed GTN.Conclusion The decision of continuing gestation is based on whether the chromosome is normal in prenatal diagnosis and whether maternal and fatal complications happen during gestation.If all the above is normal,patients can continue pregnancy under strict observation until delivery;if not,timely termination of pregnancy is necessary.
