Abstract:Objective To discuss the changes in the characteristics of plasma metabolism in gestational hyperlipidemia patients and find potential small molecular biomarkers. Methods Both plasma sanples from 20 healthy pregnant women (healthy control group)and 20 gestational hyperlipidemia patients (gestational hyperlipidemia group)were subjected to metabolomic analysis in the China People's Liberation Army 202 Hospital from August to October of 2015.The plasma metabolism was compared between the two groups via principal component analysis (PCA)and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA).Two sample t-test was used to identify differences in metabolite concentrations. Results There were significant differences in plasma metabolism between the two groups;a total of 41 metabolites were found in plasma, levels of 11 micromolecular metabolites, such as citric acid, malic acid, etc.,were significantly increased (P<0.05),and those of 30 micromolecular metabolites, such as bilirubin, lactic acid, etc.,were significantly decreased (P<0.05),in gestational hyperlipidemia group compared to healthy control group. Conclusion Gestational hyperlipidemia patients showed different characteristics of plasma metabolism compared to healthy pregnant women;significant change in the level of some metabolites may be accompanied with abnormality in many metabolism systems. This research provides some reference for the further study in clinical and experimental research.
