Screening, diagnosis and management of group B streptococcus infection in perinatal pregnancy

Abstract:Group B Streptococcus is a gram-positive coccus which is very important in pregnancy.The infection with group B Streptococcus in pregnant women can lead to the adverse effects on pregnancy outcome.Maternal and neonatal clinical outcomes have been improved by screening and treatment of GBS in developed countries.There is no unified GBS screening and treatment guidelines in our country.This article will review the status and controversy of GBS screening in China.
