Effect of artesunate on expression of the angiopoietin -2 in ishikawa cell line
Abstract：Objective To investigate the expression of angiopoiebin-2 ang-2 and the Inhibition effect of human carcinoma of endometrium ishikawa cells by artesunate. Methods After ishikawa cells were treated with different concentration of artesunate (Art) ,the exprssion of Ang-2 mRNA and protein level, proliferation, morphology, invasion were detected by RT-PCR, Western blotting technology, MTT, fluorescence microscope, and transwell respectively. Results Art effectively decreased the expression of ang-2 on both mRNA and protein level, the proliferation inhibition rate of ishikawa cells was 70. 25%. Cell apoptosis was observed by fluorescence microscope, even resulting in apoptotic bodies. Conclusion Art downregulates ang-2 expression of human carcinoma of endometrium ishikawa cells and facilitate the inhibiting the proliferation and inducing apoptosis.
