Colposcopy practice of pregnancy associated with cervical lesions
Abstract:It is difficult to expose cervix with Colpos-copy for pregnant women. Blooding may be cause by biopsies. The typical modifications of the cervix occurring during gestation make a low accuracy of col-poscopic evaluation. It is suitable to experience col-poscopy during whole gestation. Biopsy is safe during pregnancy. Diagnostic excision is unacceptable unless invasive cancer is suspected. Endocervical curettage is contraindicated in pregnant patients.
