Fetal pulse oximetry during fetal surveillance

Abstract：Fetal pulse oximetry could increase the accuracy of fetal assessment in labour. Evidence from randomized controlled clinical trials reported that fetal pulse oximetry may lead to the reduction in caesarean section for nonreassuring fetal status, but not for overall caesarean section rates.
