Handling the meconium contaminated amniotic fluid

Abstract：Meconium-stained amniotic fluid may not be associated with chronic fetal hypoxia, and only a small percentage may develop meconium aspiration syndrome (MAS). Therefore, to determine whether amniotic fluid (MSAF) should affect obstetrical in-terventions, clinicians should take fetal heart rate pat-tern, scalp blood pH value, and patient's inclination into account, and then decide further treatments.
