Abstract:Intrapartum cardiotocography (CTG) is a procedure of graphically (graphy) recording fetal heart activity (eardio) and uterine contraction (to-co). It always makes an influenee on obstetricians' clinic decisions. The new classification system for CTG uses the terms is "normal" ," atypical" and " abnormal". If it is normal CTG, Electric Fetal Moni-toting (EFM) may be interrupted for periods up to 30 min. If it is atypical / abnormal CTG, intrauter-ine resuscitation should be made chiefly. Then, fetal scalp blood testing may be considered. Other obstet-rical parameters, such as gestational age, fetal weight, the phase and stage of the labor, will all af-fect decision making.
