Application status and limitations of laparoscopy for endometriosis

Abstract：Endometriosis is a common disease which occurs in approximately 10% ～ 15% of women of re-productive age, the main clinical impacts are pain, infertility and pelvic mass. Laparoscopy is the golden standard for the diagnosis and treatment of endome-triosis. For the variable characteristics of endometri-osis and the difficulties and complexities during the treatment of severe or deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE), limitations still exist in elinieal applications of laparoscopy for this disease.
