Abstract：In January 2023,the European Association for the Study of Obesity(EASO)and the European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians(EFAD)jointly issued a position statement on medical nutrition therapy for overweight or obesity in children and adolescents.It is based on the best evidence in the literature(randomized controlled trial,meta-analysis,systematic review),and the evidence presented in the joint position statement confirms that dietary intervention can effectively improve obesity-related results.This paper interprets the best evidence summary(evidence statement)and recommended content in the joint position statement and the situation facing China.
